Safeguarding Your Research
International partnerships within academic, government, industry and non-profit sectors are part of being a world-class research-intensive university. Many of today’s pressing challenges are shared, global challenges — requiring collaboration and shared solutions. At the same time, the scope for research collaborations across borders and disciplines is rapidly expanding, and the geopolitical environment is ever-changing. Universities and researchers have a responsibility to ensure their security precautions and protocols are up-to-date and recognize current potential threats to research and intellectual property.
The University of Alberta works with the Government of Canada and alongside peer institutions to help raise awareness and mitigate potential risks to research and the research community.
